Mud Hut

I watched a fast forward video of a guy building a mud hut. I saw the "replica" huts at the children museum that the Choctaw built. Basically your make a frame of your hut, then add a few vertical sticks so that you can weave sticks for walls much like a basket, then pack with mud. The guy on the video even made a mud chimney. I was wondering if any of you ever tried making one ? If you will be at a spot for a while I thought it might be a skill worth learning as you convert your surroundings into your shelter.

It amazes me how "simple" it is to build those, I also watch a video on adobe. What they basically did was take hay bails and put mud on both sides of the hay bail and it looked pretty simple. The reason they said they did that is for the insulation property. I may have to do some experimentation when it's not lava magma hot outside.
